Udinese’s tough outing Maduka Okoye, the 27‑year‑old goalkeeper for Udinese, made eight saves in a Serie A match against Lecce that ended 3–0 in favour of the visitors. Lecce opened the scoring with a header from Kialonda Gaspar in the 11th minute, doubled the lead through Konan N’Dri in the 33rd minute and added a third in the 86th with Jamil Siebert. Okoye’s performance earned him a FotMob rating of 7.0, the highest in the Udinese squad, despite the loss. He had previously been dropped after an error that allowed Torino to score, but returned to claim a crucial one‑on‑one stop against Geubbels.

Milan’s win over Atalanta In the Italian capital, Samuel Chukwueze started for AC Milan in a 3–2 victory over Atalanta at the San Siro. Milan’s goals came from a penalty by Gonçalo Ramos in the 24th minute, a second from Adrien Rabiot two minutes before half‑time, and a header by Mario Gila in the 58th minute. Atalanta responded with goals from Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstović, but Milan held on. Chukwueze was substituted in the 53rd minute; he had been involved in the build‑up to Ramos’s disallowed effort and had also bent a finish just wide from inside the area.

Nnadi’s assist for Marseille Tochukwu Nnadi made his first start of the season for Olympique Marseille in a 5–2 Ligue 1 win over Angers. He won the ball in midfield and delivered a through‑ball to Amine Harit, who curled in the fourth goal in the 83rd minute. The assist was Nnadi’s first of the campaign and his first since April. In the 74th minute he received a booking for fouling a player from the opposition.

A mixed weekend for Nigerian players The weekend saw mixed fortunes for Nigerian footballers in Europe. While Okoye and his Udinese side suffered a defeat, Nnadi’s contribution helped Marseille secure a comfortable win. Chukwueze’s involvement in Milan’s match added to the overall narrative of Nigerian talent making an impact across top European leagues.
