Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy has officially launched his first sneaker collection in collaboration with Swiss sportswear brand On. The release, which took place on October 22, 2026, comprises three distinct shoe models available for purchase through On’s official website, physical retail locations, and selected partners such as Foot Locker. The collection is priced between $150 and $180, which translates to approximately N202,000 to N242,000 in Nigerian Naira, depending on current exchange rates.
The three designs included in the debut line are the Cloudmonster, the Cloudtilt Remix, and the Roger Clubhouse. The Cloudmonster is the most expensive option at $180, featuring a deep-red colourway known as Sienna with matching uppers and cushioned soles intended for running. The Cloudtilt Remix, priced at $170, is a dark-brown lifestyle and walking shoe in a shade called Ox Brown. The most affordable model is the Roger Clubhouse at $150, a white, tennis-inspired design featuring leather uppers, metal eyelets, textured laces, and red stitching at the heel. All three styles are available in unisex sizes, with variations focusing on colour, materials, and finishing rather than entirely new structural designs.
Background
This launch represents the first tangible product release from a multi-year partnership agreement signed between Burna Boy and On in September 2025. Under this agreement, the Grammy-winning singer, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, was appointed as the brand’s “Clubhouse President.” This role is designed to link music, tennis, fashion, and contemporary culture. On is a Swiss sportswear company backed by tennis legend Roger Federer. The partnership also supports an initiative called Clubhouse Nights, which combines sporting activities with musical performances and artistic exhibitions. Events under this banner have previously been organised in major global cities, including New York, Miami, and Paris, with Burna Boy having headlined the Paris edition and hosted exclusive events in other locations.
The marketing campaign for the new sneakers draws heavily on Lagos culture. It features Burna Boy alongside prominent members of his family, including his mother, Bose Ogulu, his sister, Nissi, and his grandfather, Benson Idonije. The collection aims to reflect On’s broader ambition to strengthen its position in the global sportswear market by combining elements of running, tennis, and everyday fashion. According to reports, On has reported higher revenue and a return to profit as it expands its influence through such high-profile collaborations.
Why it matters
The launch signifies a significant expansion of Burna Boy’s business interests beyond the music industry. By partnering with a major global sportswear brand, the artist is diversifying his portfolio and reaching new consumer markets worldwide. For On, the collaboration leverages Burna Boy’s massive global fanbase to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. The pricing strategy, ranging from $150 to $180, positions the sneakers in the premium segment of the athletic footwear market. The inclusion of family members in the campaign highlights a personal narrative that resonates with fans, while the unisex availability broadens the potential customer base. The partnership also underscores the growing trend of musicians investing in lifestyle and fashion brands, further blurring the lines between entertainment and commercial enterprise.
What happens next
The sneakers are currently available for purchase globally. While the sources do not specify further upcoming releases or dates for additional models, the multi-year nature of the partnership suggests that future collaborations and events under the Clubhouse initiative are likely to continue. The success of this initial collection may influence the scope and scale of subsequent product launches or marketing campaigns involving the artist and the brand.
