Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, announced the launch of a new citizen‑engagement platform on Thursday, 15 October 2026. The initiative, called Ask AA, is part of the ADC’s strategy to increase direct contact with voters as the 2027 general election approaches.
The portal is scheduled to go live at 8:30 pm on the same day and will allow Nigerians to submit questions about Atiku’s political record, policy proposals and plans for the country. According to statements from the ADC’s Director of Strategic Communication, Phrank Shaibu, the platform will cover a range of topics that matter to voters, including the economy, security, job creation, technology and the high cost of living.
Atiku has said he will personally respond to selected questions, while members of his media team will also provide answers. The platform is free to access, and the ADC has highlighted that it will help voters obtain clarification on the candidate’s positions without relying solely on campaign speeches.
The launch reflects Atiku’s broader commitment to using technology to improve governance. The ADC has announced plans to make Ask AA available through a radio interface, enabling communities without reliable internet access to participate. The initiative is intended to close the information gap between the former vice‑president and the electorate, fostering a direct channel for citizens to seek information about his positions.
The launch comes as political activity intensifies ahead of the 2027 election, with parties and candidates pushing their programmes and courting support. By providing a practical, problem‑solving platform, Atiku aims to bring himself closer to Nigerians and encourage conversations around solutions to the country’s challenges.
